Literature Text

I had a taste of life,
Entered the chaotic fray,
I disguised myself as human just to learn,

It was an interesting experience,
The astringent flavours remain,
I languished, just to work and earn,

I lowered my expectations,
I tolerated others,
I learned what it was really like to 'serve',

I even suffered injury,
A victim of bodily harm,
The humans here really have a nerve,

But even after witnesses saw,
I'm still the one who had to call the medic,
For nobody else had the sense to use their brain,

Oh, almighty heavens above,
Your flock are truly useless,
And their presence here is by far my biggest pain,

I assimilated their silly ways,
Educated myself of how to be human,
But I'm surprised I lasted as long as I did,

It was a truly difficult task,
For their existence is so pathetic,
Association with the enemy, I forbid,

But this was an exception,
I needed to learn more,
I had to infiltrate them, just so I could see,

But my limits were truly tested,
I had to 'serve' the filthy wretches,
What a relief that now I'm finally free,

Never again will I repeat this,
Not even for the education,
These ungrateful, spoilt brats are far too much,

They have all failed the test,
They are unworthy of ascension,
And they have left me rather hot, to the touch,

I gave them all a chance,
But only few displayed true values,
I was correct in my assessment of their worth,

So it is clear then what must happen,
I was right in my solution,
We'll let them all burn when we depart this Earth...
